Berliinissä asuva säveltäjä ja pianisti Apollonio Maiello esittää uutta musiikkia tulevalta albumiltaan Beneath Blue Roses. Nykyklassisen, minimalistisen ja jazzin välimaastossa sijaitsevaa Maiellon musiikkia on kuvattu " sävellyksiksi, jotka vievät kuulijan sisäiselle matkalle; ajatuksiin, jotka on vaikea pukea sanoiksi".

Contemporary Classical / Experimental: Berlin-based composer and pianist Apollonio Maiello will present new music off his upcoming EP entitled

‘’beneath blue roses’’.

Located between contemporary classical music, minimal music and jazz, Maiello’s work has been described as ‘’compositions (that) take the listener on a journey within; to thoughts that are difficult to pronounce.’’ (Die Rheinpfalz 13-11-22)

Composer & pianist Apollonio Maiello juxtaposes aesthetic elements from a lot of genres. By collaborating with renowned artist both in music and the performing arts he has appeared as composer and pianist on festivals all around the world such as the Felicja Blumenthal Festival in Tel Aviv (Israel), the Theaterhaus Stuttgart  (Germany), the ​Muziekgebouw aan’t IJ (Netherlands), Korzo Theater (Netherlands), the ​Teatro grande di Brescia (Italy), the Grachtenfestival (Netherlands), Stony Brook University New York (USA) and the ​Heidelberger Schlossfestspiele (Germany). As a composer he has been commissioned by the Radio Filarmonisch Orkest (NL), Ensemble Sentieri Selvaggi (IT), Nymphéas Trombone Quartet (NL), Sputter Box (USA), the Greater Newburgh Symphony Orchestra (USA),  Molot Ensemble (RUS),  Intercontinental Ensemble (NL),  ShoutHouse Ensemble (USA),  Zemlinsky Chamber Orchestra (NL), Hear Now Berlin (GER) and by Steinway-Artist Alexandra Sostmann (GER). In 2022 he worked with grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Becca Stevens as an arranger. He has been awarded prizes at the ‘’International symphonic composition competition Michal Kleofas Oginski 2020’’, ‘’Steinway&Sons Jazz-Piano Preis 2016 Stuttgart’’ & the  ‘’Nationaler Yamaha Jazzklavier Wettbewerb 2017’’.
